Calling all local
businesses!
It’s almost Youth Fair Time!
The annual Corning Youth Fair will be held on August 14th from 10am-1pm
at Northside Park in Corning. Immediately following the Youth Fair will
be a free swim day sponsored by Corning Rotary.
If your business
would like to run a booth at our Youth Fair and help kick-off the
2010-2011 school year please contact Carol Curry at 824-7670 or by email
at ccurry@nvcss.org.
There’s no charge
to be a part of our Youth Fair. All we ask is that you donate a backpack
containing school supplies for our raffle. All booths have the
opportunity to provide educational literature for the parents and an
activity for the children.
Don’t miss
out, join us for fun activities, education, performances, food, prizes,
and swimming.

2:30 until 3:30
Woodson School - Corning
Ages 6 through 18 can learn a wide Range of Soccer Skills.
Scrimmage and learn the tricks of playing Quality Soccer. Camp
Meets at Woodson School Soccer Field in Corning on Tuesdays and
Thursdays 2:30 until 3:30. Bring water, and dress appropriately to play
soccer. This training camp is
sponsored by Pacific Living Properties and Tehama County Social
Services. It is free of charge and open to the public. For more

is located near the

north end of California's central valley, 120 miles north of Sacramento.

over 40 members performs for approximately 20 community events each year
in Red Bluff including Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Veteran's Day,
and the Summer Concert Series.

Discovery Center
The Sacramento River Discovery Center hosts a visitor's center that
is open to the general public Tuesday-Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. The center contains educational displays and hands-on interpretive
displays. The center also hosts monthly evening programs, an annual
dinner meeting, and a Watershed Celebration on the third Saturday in
